Inspiration can come from anywhere, anything, anytime. A sentence from something read, from something said, an object, an emotion, are just a few examples of where I get my inspiration from. My approach to painting is to allow myself to be moved in the moment…moved by the paint, the colors, the fleeting emotions, the overall image. I don’t always have a particular image in mind to paint. Just like everyday is new, painting is the same. There is an element of surprise as to what the outcome will be.
